| Slumped glass / mold-blown glass 40-100 units, dimensions vary per installation projects ongoing 2003-present Gay Outlaw Gay Outlaw's work has never been constrained by any attachment to a particular material - rather, her obsession with one particular color of vinyl, or the repeating pattern of convoluted foam, will assert itself long enough to propel her through the realization of one piece. Never settling in, she's on to the next idea before the first is complete. Outlaw has brought several projects to the studio knowing how to explain what she wants, and trusting Jeff to render the components in glass. Some projects have meant producing automated molds for blown parts, while others were produced in kilns by slumping hand-rolled sheet glass onto forms that Gay produced in her own studio. Gay Outlaw is actively represented by Paule Anglim and Todd Hosfelt. |
